How we are preparing, we want you to know.
Coronavirus, and what we are doing about it.
The health of our members is the most important goal of our program. Our commitment is comprehensive, including the mitigation of viral infections. This includes CONVID-19, also referred to as Coronavirus.
To date, there are no confirmed cases of CONVID-19 in Seminole County. However, we will continue to do our part to remain vigilant and mitigate risks.
Time magazine has an informative article about the risks related to Coronavirus in fitness facilities: https://bit.ly/38Hy63k
First and foremost, please wash your hands, and please leverage our remote and at-home options if you are sick.
As the first line of defence, we ask you help do your part:
Wash your hands before and after every session.
If you sneeze or cough, please cover your mouth, and use hand sanitizer or wash your hands immediately after.
Please wipe down all equipment you touch during your session.
If you have a fever, please do not come in. Please DO ask your Instructor for help with Curriculum requirements, and please use the app. Our entire video library is online there for you to review!
If you have a fever and flu-like symptoms, please call your doctor for directions.
Fever, dry cough, and trouble breathing are the common symptoms of COVID-19. There have been some reports of gastrointestinal symptoms (nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea) before respiratory symptoms occur, but this is largely a respiratory virus.
If you travel to high-risk countries or areas, please wait a full week before attending a session. Incubation period of CONVID-19 is five days on average.
Please let us know what’s going on, so we can support you and others in our community.
Here is what we plan to continue to do:
We will continue to spend 2-3x what a facility our size normally spends on a monthly basis. Our total cleaning budget is around $1,000 every month.
Mike and the team are pretty serious about cleanliness. 😊
We will continue to deep clean our mats with hospital-grade disinfectant daily.
Here is what is new:
We are increasing professional bathroom cleaning from 1 to 2 times per day.
Our bathroom cleaning crew has switched to a more powerful disinfectant.
Instructors will have Disinfecting Wipes available for cleaning equipment after use.
We are wiping down all common surfaces with disinfectant at the beginning and ending of every front desk shift. We are adding bleach to the sprays in the Studio.
We will be switching to air high fives, and air fist bumps, Please keep the energy up, but limit direct contact.
We love you guys. Please take care of yourself and each other.
Together, we Thrive.
Mike Friedman and the Champion Karate Team💪
